Unity should take care of SEGI

Fully Dynamic Global Illumination is the way for perfect realism.

Now that the amazing Fully Dynamic Global Illumination "SEGI" is open source, Unity should officially adapt it and take care of it.

Only Unity has the manpower to really use it and perhaps do low level changes for it on the Unity Core Engine to make it work best in Unity.

This would be a great idea in order to keep up with Unreal in regards of realism.

    Truly dynamic GI will become crucial for procedurally generated games the more GI and raytracing becomes the norm. In this regard Unity is currently quite lacking with all focus going into the baked lighting paradigm (a bit strange with so many procedural games being made).

    Another plus would actually be the possibility of super fast baking at very high quality. What makes SEGI so interesting is that it indicates this is all technically feasible.

    I've just tried it, and the performance is not very good. I hope they make a good thing out of it.

    Yes please, GI is where unity graphics fall short.
