Unity Customer Support (General)

General

The customer support for Unity is quite poor as we are forced to turn to unity forums to find our own solutions and that seems fair. However, this is not the easiest thing to do and I think that at the very least, Unity plus or pro members should be able to contact staff live to report issues so that they may be fixed immediately. Unity often updates their engine and because of that we sometimes encounter bugs for no reason that have not been raised before. I think that it is unfair that people pay for this program and have to waste their money because they are unable to work because of these issues.

Unity Pro user here. Unity is the most popular game engine in the world and has very cheap membership options. It's unreasonable to expect Unity to offer live technical support for every subscribing user. I don't have any access to Unity support except through the bug reporter and forum either, but I think that some level of Enterprise level Unity exists - unity source code liscenses are issued. That level of Unity certain should be better supported. I agree the Unity 5.6 has been unacceptably buggy. But I also know that tons of awesome features were added in 5.6. Perhaps too many features. Honestly my recommendation is to stay at Unity 5.5 and to be more careful when upgrading your project's Unity version.

Unity 5.6 is buggy and unstable, and that is the real root of this feedback point.

Yes it is very poor, and it takes at least a week for an email, and they say what was wrong just to wait 1 more week if they even email back i paid less and had better customer support!
