Standalone support for Windows Mixed Reality headsets

Today the standalone version of Unity has support for the OpenVR and Oculus Rift APIs. Since the Windows Fall Creator Update, it's possible to use a bridge to access the Windows Mixed Reality APIs, outside an UWP context.

Today to use Windows MR on a desktop based application, we've to use the SteamVR plugin. It works, but a native integration is much better for developers, but also final customers.

Any updates on this? :) I noticed 2018.3.0 rolled out the XR Input for VR, with that being said, would we expect this feature in unity 2018.X - 2019?
