WebVR is an emerging standard for browsers implementing WebGL. It allows access to VR devices such as Oculus Rift in the browser. Early support is present in nightly builds of Chrome and Firefox.

WebVR is important to Enterprise users. We use Unity to create compelling training experiences for a major American corporation, some with conventional gaming components and some with just scoring for accomplishments within the training. There are lots of users and, while we develop for use within the HMD, those are often cost prohibitive for the company to supply to end users, even Google Carboard. On the other hand, many end users are happy with the 3D browser experience and we develop to allow them to use it. Official WebVR support would be immensely helpful.

WebVR community needs great content creation software. Unity could be that software to turn too.
