The Open Prefab feature, while cool, has lead to some truly cumbersome UX and functionality. I can no longer group select prefabs in the project and edit their settings in bulk. In addition it is frustrating to have to execute an added button click, as well as a scene view state change, for every instance in which I need to view a prefabs components. This action is not so bad on a single use basis but quickly stacks up and hinders the efficiency of my workflow.
- It would be nice if the "Open Prefab" editor view was a peripheral option within the inspector view when a prefab is selected while still displaying the prefabs components as normal until the feature is activated. At least just on the Base/Parent Prefab to start.
- The scene view itself is not awful but it would also be nice if their was a separate window (Such as the animator window) for Prefab Editing that can be docked in the UI like everything else.
