Implement PhysX Articulations (ropes, chains, stable joints, stable robotics and so on)

You really should consider PhysX Articulated Actors to be usable. With these we will be able to create stable ropes and complex machinery that is currently impossible with joints.

Even the configurable joint is the old D6 joint and have a lot of issues (too soft sometimes)

You should also let us use the Joint Projection mode

    I want to add my support to this. Making ropes and such is very important to my current project, but the softjoints don't work well for this because we need a heavy weight at the end (like a crane). PhysX has articulations, but we can't used them. The way I'm handling it now is by changing the mass of the rope whenever we are going to pick something up. This is pretty nasty, especially if the rope needs to collide with something else. Even if I had to do some sleazy things with reflection or something to get at the articulations, it would be worth it. Please consider exposing this part of the PhysX API to us, since they are already in the version of PhsyX that Unity has, if I'm not mistaken.

    I'd also really like to see PhysX Articulations in Unity. I was testing them in UE4 and the difference between articulations and regular joints is amazing. Articulations aren't really supported in UE4 so I had to use the Physx code directly. The torque is great, joints don't separate and it can counter internal /external forces so it can easily follow an animation.
