Export models with animations to standard 3D format (e.g. FBX)

Animation

Getting a 3D object exported to some standard format, similar to https://github.com/KellanHiggins/UnityFBXExporter, but including the animations as well. This would be very useful when an animation is created in Unity and for any reason you find it will be optimal for you to have it in a 3D modeling program for any reasons, e.g. for tweaking, improve it, or fixing any details, or just use it in Unity as a FBX animation (obviously together with the model), and not as a Unity animation going forward.

This is different to another idea posted which, if I understood correctly, is basically asking you can also edit FBX animations as Unity animations, which could be much more challenging if Unity does not support all the types of animations you can have in a FBX:

Agree. This would be also useful in case you need a quick reference from a Unity scene to work on an asset with external software (for instance, making an animation where seeing the game scene is important for the animator). As of now, you have to rebuild the scene from the original assets in the 3D software, which, due to different axis system, proves very difficult and time consuming to match.
