Editor: Dark skin theme in Free available in options.

It seems petty not to include the dark skin theme in Unity Free. Better would be to have it not as default. Migraine sufferers like myself would appreciate the option of having the darker look sometimes.

VisualStudio > DarkUI, Blender > DarkUI, I switched my whole damn Windows10 Desktop to DarkUI... but Unity?? No way. This is terrible. I have to pay for ProVersion to dont hurt my eyes? Seriously???

Great, keep the windows 95 look in the widespread version of unity, that surely will help you guys to look professional and competitive instead of a crappy software that doesn't even have a dark option for ease of use. This is a no brainer devs.

Doctor: "I'm sorry son, you have Irlen Syndrome (also referred to at times as Meares-Irlen Syndrome, Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome, and Visual Stress) you should switch to light writing on darker paper as soon as possible, and change your computer too, it'll help you get thru university without pain and mental anguish"
User: "That's a great idea, but I can't, the people who make my software charge for that feature..."

    *slow clap*

Congratulations unity, you're taxing disabled people...

Just a lame, psychological sales tactic, I guess - make the free version *look* cheap and shitty, although it may have all the functionality you need, but it'll make you *feel* like you need the pro version. It's not even clever. You would think they'd have the confidence that the pro version will sell you on actual features, not just on appearance, but... maybe they don't.

It needs to be included if only for HEALTH reasons, many devs work in darker environments, a super bright screen is damaging to eyes...this is science fact, this is why almost every creative software has this now, even Blender...100% FREE allows you to change it, and I can say this, had it not had it regardless of how good it it, no way would I have continued. I need to be comfortable when I work. I will be subscribing when the time is right to a full version but while I work now to optimize funds, I need to be comfy. Extreme eye strain.

Devs are forcing Unity users for using pirated version to get Dark Theme.

    GG WP Unity Developers.

It's unbelievable, maybe even unacceptable we're still asking Dark Skin on the free plan in late 2017.

This feedback was written in 2011, has more than 10k votes and more than double of second-place votes!

I always receive the Unity3D newsletter hoping that the Dark Skin is finally available, but I always get frustrated. From there on, any new thing does not matter anymore, because even if it's something exciting, the desire to download the new version and see what's new, goes away at the same time I remember the standard interface.

As well said CHURI24, no matter what was already spent and developed in older versions, you can not even try the new versions with a bad interface like this. This is disrespectful!

The most shameful thing is to see that the company speaks of the Dark Theme proudly as if it were an exceptional feature to buy: "Develop your game within our beautiful, easy-on-the-eyes, dark UI environment". But this is simply BASIC! A simple and ordinary feature available in any other tool for developing or editing images and animations. Remember, we are in 2017! The company knows that the default theme is uncomfortable and still maintains it. It's joke to say that you should pay for that program they offer does not hurt your eyes!

What's the point of having a series of advanced features in the free plan if we can not spend much time studying to do the basics? We watched the excellent tutorials done in Dark Skin, showing how to use the tool, but when we go to practice, we find a completely misrepresented and uncomfortable environment to work with.

It really pitiful to see in 2017 a giant tool like Unity with this amateur interface.
