Distance Field Ambient Occlusion

DFAO really brings a scene to life. It helps tremendously on large maps by adding to the realism. Unfortunately, it is not available natively or or on the asset store,

    In the unity GDC keynote video they have something similar but better cause it reacts to all the lighting as a volume you can check it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2940&v=cmRSkHl-Gv0

    and the min the shows this effect is 53:00.
    This in my opinion will be a game changer and they said it will be in 2018.2 but i just downloaded the beta and its not there maybe they will implement it later in the development.
    I study many lighting techniques and this effect (the occlusion of closed areas) is one of the best effects to achive great lighting in seconds.

    Could you post a link to a video? What I watched on YouTube didn't really seemed worth the effort to me. Perhaps I just looked at the wrong videos. Thanks.
