Direct integration of SVG Importer asset in unity

2D

The SVG importer asset should be directly integrated to Unity.

I would make all 2D graphics resolution independent, and save all lot of space to package games.

It is the ideal solution for 2D cross-platform development.
No more dirty sprites !!!No more huge sprite sheets!!!
There is a demo on the website:

I would like to see a runtime API to rasterize and SVG images and rasterize into Texture2D atlases with the option to generate sprites. It would be nice if such a feature would provide an option to separate SVG groups into separate sprites on the same atlas so that they can be easily animated.

I agree this should be possible natively, but not at the cost of overriding standard raster graphics. Vectors require loads more CPU than standard raster graphics, and for mobile games, this means more battery drainage. Raster graphics do help this by diverting processing load to hard drive space.

Sure, file sizes are smaller with vectors, but the amount of game logic you can process per frame is substantially decreased since you're using tons more CPU time on graphics.

Maybe not SVGImporter, but there does need to be a way to render a clickable line. Some sort of vector support would be great. For 3D we have primitives like cube and cylinder. It would be nice to have 2d tools such as line (line renderer does not count as its not interactable), square, circle... ect.

Guys vote for this one instead, instead of adding a importer asset, which would be realy disrespectful for the asset creatros, vote for a way to import 2d vector graphics instead (not my post just so you know)

It will be amazing for mobile development
