Clear Console from code

Add a possibility to clear the console from code! This would make debugging easier especially when it comes to automated build scripts.

The current workarounds (discussed here https://answers.unity.com/questions/707636/clear-console-window.html) utilize reflection and are unrealiable and break when Unity's internal implementation changes.

    I agree with TOMPO - This functionally SHOULD be in Unity and should be optional, so it can be used when it is required and disabled when it is not. This way BOTH sides of the argument get their way, as opposed to TED-BIGHAM who clearly feels that because HE is so important and HE does not want to use this functionality, no-one should be able to do so.

    It is single view attitudes like this that tie software development of all kinds down in circular knots of inefficiency. If Unity is to continue as a game development leader they cannot allow themselves to fall into this trap.

    There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why this functionality should be completely missing when it can simply be optional, except of course that it might upset those super important people who believe that their view is the only view.

    I'm for this.
    @ED-BIGHAM
    If you don't want to then just don't use it - simple.
    But should be an easy option to clear the log like Debug.Log.Clear() - end of story.

    I'm strongly against this. Any time I have used a library that clears the console (using reflection) it just hides important information when there are problems. I always end up going in and commenting out the code. If it was in a DLL, I'd have to discontinue use of the library. I'd hate to see Unity encourage this behaviour by making it part of an official API.
