Change font size in Unity Editor

Please add a setting under Unity: Preferences to increase the font size for the text in the Unity Editor Panels and Tabs. Text recognition is more demanding cognitively than graphics so it would not only help visually impaired, but also tired 20 year olds with perfect vision! Thank you.

For some reason I see a lot of comments suggesting a dual monitor setup to solve this issue.

Well I have a dual monitor setup I use professionally for Photoshop - a small 1080px 92 dpi and a large 1200px 94 dpi, the smaller one is for interface windows.
In Photoshop the UI font is smaller yet clearer, thus more readable, than in Unity.
In Unity the text is required to much greater extent, but to read it conveniently I'd have to either pull the smaller monitor closer to me by about 15 cm (6"), or decrease its DPI. Either option will hinder my day-to-day workflow.

My guess is that the Unity UI team went for inflexible UI elements, so the font size cannot be increased without a complete UI rework. I understand why they don't want to do that. But Photoshop uses an even smaller font which is completely readable.
Go copy whatever it is Adobe did on their font settings.

P.S. I'm not old, not tired, and my eyeglasses correction is only 0.5 and 0.75. This is not a physiological issue. I simply expect the UI to serves me, as it should.

    5.4.0F3 release notes say:
OSX: Unity Editor supports Mac Retina displays now (mostly for improved text and icon rendering). Windows HiDPI support in development.
Does this mean problem fixed on OSX and fix for Windows coming soon?

Genuinely feel like my eye sight is declining so fast since working in a studio using PC's with 4K monitors. Unity hurts my eyes. Please fix this. I know making it 'responsive' isn't as easy as people think but this change is essential

The font is way to small on my desktop - I need to change the resolution every time I do any work. This is just not good enough. Seriously reconsidering using this platform for development.

People have been asking for this thing since 2009. Last time I checked my calendar now we are in late 2016. If my math is correct this is 7 years of waiting. For that time your team could have build a whole new engine from the ground up. Come one 7 f**king years mate.

Please, do something with it. I am still waiting...

Working with the Unity editor becomes very tiring after a while due to the tiny font size. This fix is badly needed.

This is more important to me than any other improvement I would like to see in Unity. It affects my ability, speed, and comfort at doing work in Unity every single second I'm doing work, which is pretty huge. I hate that my text is too small to easily read on my desktop machine and I have to lean forward close to my screen a lot or I can't do it. My desktop is BETTER than my notebook for every other task, it's crazy that my notebook lets me read text in and generally work with the Unity editor more easily than my more powerful, higher resolution desktop machine! Please delay some other tasks and make this your company's top priority for just long enough to GET IT DONE. Thank you!

This should have been implemented years ago. I love Unity but it's pretty embarrassing.

I'd like to second this. On my setup the editor main window is readable, but the Console isn't. How hard can it be to use a mono-spaced font and/or to allow the user to set a font size?
