automated models preview taking away control from publishers

Asset Store Publisher

The current automated preview section of the included models of an asset's page is quiet misleading as it showacses models with very pour lighting setup which conveys a bad impression of the assets.

Aside from the fact that it takes away control from publishers, It doesn't fit with the overall asset store image in our opinion as it feels very generic by lacking character.

It should be up to us publishers to present the included models through the screenshots gallery in a way they see fit. After all publishers know the best way to present their assets, reducing the image and the essence of an asset to a series of flat shaded 3D models is not the way to go.

I think from a publisher standpoint, the automated setup hurts your ability to capture eyes and make the sale.
From a consumer standpoint I think it is way easier to find what you need though.

Which I believe the asset store should be more for the consumer than the publisher.

On the other hand it often happens that assets are being sugar-coated with post processing effects that may or may not be available in te buyer's project. In my opinion it should be left for the customers to validate how will the asset work for them.
