Add Dark Mode on Personal/Free Version

I know it's quite an edge for premium users, but please... The community has been suggesting this one for a very long time already. We will buy Unity if our games will make it big. For now, almost all game engines out there has a dark mode feature even in free versions of their engines. I have been using Unity ever since I started out game development last 2013. People have been complaining about eye-strain, specially when you're working late at night.

Please listen to your user base. Thank you in advance!

its the most voted ticket since forever. you're wasting your votes if you split them to multiple tickets

I'd buy Unity plus/pro even if I receive the dark theme for Personal since the custom splash screen already has me sold. Even though I'm starting to create bigger projects, I'm still a small indie dev that doesn't have the spending cash, nor the justification, to pay $35/month for all the perks of Plus/Pro including a Dark Theme. Adding Dark Theme to Personal would help reduce my headaches and gives every user to Unity a much more painless development process.

I don't have a degree in marketing, nor do I know what decisions get made between the Unity developers. What I can say is that this would be a small and easy change among this new year that current, and new, users of Unity Personal would benefit from.

Dark Mode has become a mainstay for developers in many popular IDEs. It has also shown to be better for developers' eyes due to less strain. At this point this feature should be packaged by default with the standard version of Unity. Please answer the call of your customer base and biggest fans!

As a Unity Plus customer (as of this writing), I support this. While Dark Mode was a tiny carrot back when Unity started, there are many other reason to switch to Plus even before the 100k cap. Control over branding in the Splash Screen is one. Analytics and Cloud Diagnostics are two others.

Windows now has a Dark Mode. Visual Studio has always been able to a Dark Mode. Your competitor Unreal4 is Dark Mode by default in its free version. Even the slow as a slug Apple Inc. finally figured it out and got in macOS Mohjave.
